If you'd like more information, please read our user manual

Can I use Grillprobe in a microwave or a combination oven?

Unfortunately, you cannot use Grillprobe in a microwave as this causes irreparable damage to the circuitry inside the probe itself. This is also a fire hazard. We have found through testing a number of different brands, that the doors for these types of ovens are very heavily insulated, preventing Bluetooth signals from reaching out. Unfortunately this affects all our products which rely on Bluetooth to communicate

Can I use Grillprobe in a Pressure Cooker?

We support pressure cooking due to increased pressure can result in moisture getting inside the probe which could damage the circuitry. To use it in a pressure cooker this would void the warranty although it may not necessarily break the device. Is the application of the Internet of Things IoT and artificial intelligence AI technology research and development of food cooking intelligent monitoring system, wireless probe as the core intelligent hardware, cooking food temperature data is sent to the cloud server in real time, users use mobile phones and other intelligent terminals to remotely monitor the food cooking process, forecast the end of food cooking time.

Should I be worried if my Grill food probe's ambient sensor doesn't match my cooker?

In most cases, built-in cooker thermometers measure the temperature in a different spot from where you put your food, like in the back of the oven or the lid of the grill. On top of this, there are usually hot and cold spots in the cooker, rather than having one consistent temperature throughout the whole chamber. That's why it's important for Grillmeater probes ambient sensor to read the temperature right at the black high resistance handle. It tells you the actual temperature your food is exposed to, and helps to calculate a more accurate cook time

Should I be worried if my Grill smart probe's internal sensor doesn't match another thermometer?

If you're using more than one thermometer to check your meat temperature, there's a couple of important things to keep in mind:While the meat is still cooking, there can be variations in temperature in different parts of the meat. This can happen because of differences in thickness, fat content, or proximity to bones.Even if you're trying to measure in exactly the same spot, most other thermometers have their sensors right in the tip, whereas ours is about 2cm from the pointed end.The core function of GrillMeater is to give you perfect and consistent results every time. This is why all of our probes’ internal sensors are calibrated to +/- 1°F (0.5°C) in the factory using certified tools, and then thoroughly tested, so you can rest assured you're getting an accurate reading with our probes

Why doesn't GrillMeater probe's ambient sensor match my cooker?

In most cases, built-in thermometers in cooking appliances measure the temperature in a different location from where you put your food,  And, there are usually hot and cold spots in the cooker, instead of having one consistent temperature throughout the whole BBQ/grilling process. That's why it's important for GrillMeater's ambient sensor to read the temperature right at the thicker end of the probe. It tells you the actual temperature your food is exposed to and helps to calculate a more accurate cook time.

Grillmeater said my meat was ready but it did not reach the doneness I aimed for, why?

Most issues with undercooking are due to probe placement. The internal sensor of the Grill oven probe is located about one inch above the pointed tip of the probe. It is important that this part of the probe is in the thickest part of the meat. If it isn't, the area of the meat that the sensor is touching will hit the target temperature before the core of the meat has the chance to raise to the right temperature.

GrillMeater probe is used with what other kitchen appliance?

Keep a close eye on meat, fish and poultry, no matter which cooking appliance you’re using be it a smoker, kettle grill, gas grill,Kamado, oven or rotisserie!

Can you use a wireless grilling thermometer in the oven?

Absolutely. Whether used in an oven or outdoors, look for braided metal cables that will withstand grill lids or oven doors closing on them, according to Bringle. Beyond roasting, you can use your probes to monitor bread batter to find the perfect level of doneness and take suggested bake times out of the equation.

Can you leave a thermometer in the meat while it cooks?

Yes. Unlike probe thermometers, which spot-check food temperatures, these wireless thermometers remain in your food while it cooks so that you can track its progress.
